Raleigh Considers Affordable Housing Options
Downtown has long held the appeal of many Raleigh residents as an ideal place to live. Unfortunately, high rents and cost of living has made that simply a dream for most. Carlton Place, which was built with government and private grants, offers something different to downtown, and allows a cheaper living option for families who don’t have as much money to spend on rent each month. However, there are only 80 apartments in the building, and most are filled.
In a few weeks, Raleigh voters will decide whether or not the city uses funding to build similar communities. A $16 million bond on the October 11th ballot is up for debate, which, if approved, would provide loans and assistance to first time home buyers. The bill is said to target the low income and senior populations.
If you’re thinking of moving to downtown, don’t forget to contact your favorite Raleigh movers for the best rates, reliable movers, and a seamless moving day.

Raleigh Movers Help Local TV Station to Provide ‘Coats For Kids’
This month, All My Sons Raleigh movers will carry on another 14-year-old charitable tradition. The reputable Raleigh moving company will team up with WRAL-TV and provide delivery service for their Coats for the Children Campaign. All My Sons’ Raleigh moving company will be picking up donated jackets and coats from multiple First Citizens Bank branches and will provide storage services until the coats and jackets are ready for distribution at the end of December.
“We are always more than happy to participate in efforts to help out the community,” said John Georgedakis, the Raleigh moving company president. “It is very heartwarming to know that we can provide warmth for children who would otherwise go without proper winter wear this year.” WRAL-TV will also air a special telethon on December 10th to raise money to purchase additional coats and winter garments for needy children. Pledges will be accepted during the telethon from 6:00am until 8:00pm. If you wish to join your Raleigh movers in providing warmth this winter, there are multiple opportunities for you. Moving Out?
Are you loaded with items you need to move to your new place? Call your local Raleigh movers for an estimate. A small or large move is easy with the right help. I actually moved my items by making a few trips in my car. All I had to move were my clothes. I had to purchase a couch, kitchenette set, dishes, linens and the works. If you’re like me, stores like IKEA, Target, K-Mart and Walmart provide great options for new tenants on a budget. Of course, it also wouldn’t hurt to visit a few garage sales, thrift stores and even online sites like craigslist for great deals as well.
Good luck on your move in Raleigh!
Moving and Customer Care
Moving in Raleigh should involve not only a great rate, and exceptional moving services but also good customer service. The moving industry has been tainted by rogue movers who care nothing about building a client relationship with its customers, but rather booking a move. This lack of care for the client fosters a money driven business. As a result customers’ belongings are sometimes damaged, charged extra fees not previously quoted and valuables held hostage until payment is received. This is definitely not the type of moving experience you deserve. Measure the level of care you receive from each mover as you research them and book accordingly.
What happens if it rains on moving day?
As I child I remember bad weather days that kept us inside playing a marathon of centerpiede and pac man on our atari game. We would also chant, rain rain go away, come back another day, as if it was going to make a difference.
There are more important events in life that most individuals hope that rain doesn’t spoil and moving to a new home is one of them. If your move in Raleigh is accompanied by rain, your movers should be equipped to still handle your job. Experienced and skilled movers usually lay a protective covering for your floors as well as use caution when loading and unloading. If the weather is unbearable you should ask your movers for a rain check.
Let’s hope it doesn’t rain on moving day, but in the event it does, a reputable Raleigh mover can handle it!
Are your movers really who they say they are?
This is a question you should ask yourself. Now-a-days many Raleigh moving companies broker their moves to a particular group. You’ll notice the parent company name on the moving truck, but then look a little closer there’s another name as well. Who’s really moving you then? Is it really the moving company you called or is it a group you’re not familiar with? When it comes to moving your valuables I recommend hiring a Raleigh moving company who stands behind its name and its moving staff.
