Raleigh Ranks as Best City in the US
Business Week’s ranking of U.S cities for the top areas of school performance, green space, and cultural diversity & amenities has ranked Raleigh, N.C. as number one! The Raleigh movers absolutely agree. And like many other Raleigh residents, we are proud that a national publication has tipped off their hats to us as a great place to live, work and play.
With an array of entertainment options–movies, sports, concerts and opera, Raleigh is a great city to grow up in, be a young professional in, and also raise a family in. With a reasonable population of 400,000, it’s a city that is neither too big nor too small. The charm in Raleigh is that it focuses on being better, not bigger.
Raleigh Movers Who Aim to Please You
A smooth moving experience is all anybody wants who is relocating to a new home. Shopping around for movers can be a tedious task, but choosing the right mover is extremely important so you must hire movers in Raleigh carefully! Fortunately for those planning to move, online review sites such as Yelp make comparing local professional moving companies in Raleigh easy and convenient. Your Raleigh moving professionals here are devoted to earning every customer’s seal of approval, and reviews like this one below (from a customer we moved to Richmond Virginia!) prove it!
I highly recommend All My Sons for anyone planning a move, be it across town or, as we did, another state.
DH and I received quotes from three different companies. By far, the presentation made by the All My Sons estimator was the most professional presentation we had ever seen. It was exceptionally thorough, well documented and included customer references. One thing that I found very compelling was that their moving crews are full-time employees of the company, not day laborers picked up a job here and there, and I would have the same crew doing my loading and my unloading.
The price quote, which was a “not-to-exceed” number, unlike most companies, was 27% – 40% LESS than the others. At first, I thought it might be too good to be true. But we checked out their references, reviewed their documentation, and verified them with the Better Business Bureau (where they received an A+ rating). So we selected them.
I am happy to say the moving crew was as professional and thorough as the estimator. They took good care of my things and were very efficient with their time.
I would absolutely use them again.

American Mortgage Conference This Week in Raleigh
Currently underway, the American Mortgage Conference is taking place in Raleigh this week. Among issues discussed thus far at the conference, one strikes particular interest that the Raleigh movers wanted to share with our friends! According to industry experts, now is the time to refinance your home mortgage. The average rate on a 30-year fixed mortgage is about 4.12 percent–the lowest it has been in decades.
Among the credible speakers at this week’s conference, lending honchos from Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae spoke yesterday. There are several things to consider before refinancing–such as what term length you’d like, what interest rate you’d like to get down to, and how it will affect your day to day finances. Knowledge is power, so ask away!
Protect Yourself from Hurricane Irene
Here at the Raleigh movers we are taking Hurricane Irene very seriously, and we hope that you are too. Despite the fact that Irene has been downgraded to a category two storm does not mean that we should all rest on our laurels. For the protection of our loved ones, we must all make sure we’ve prepared for what could still do damage to the Raleigh area and the rest of the Atlantic coast.
With winds still estimated at 105mph, the recently downgraded storm could certainly pick up steam again as it hurls through the Atlantic Ocean. The storm is expected to hit the North Carolina area over the weekend, most likely Saturday.
Hopefully you’ve stocked up on batteries, canned foods, bottled water, and first aid kits. Portable fans are also a great investment to keep around for hurricane season. Windows should be boarded if you don’t have hurricane shutters, and utilize your garage to the best of your ability to protect automobiles and bicycles.
Also, if power does in fact go out, it wouldn’t hurt to have puzzles or board games readily available.
We wish the best for you and your loved ones. May we all weather the storm here in Raleigh!
Raleigh Parade of Homes
This fall, Raleigh will celebrate the 46th Annual Parade of Homes by showcasing over 200 homes throughout Raleigh-Wake County. The tour is free, and it will focus on home trends specific to the Research Triangle Area. In keeping with the technological times, the Parade of Homes has created a smart phone app to help you access the Parade as you go.
Here at the Raleigh movers, we are always excited by the home developments and innovations that are showcased at the Annual Parade of Homes. The awards ceremony will take place prior to the open house, so you’ll be able to see what ranks as gold, silver, and bronze among all of the impressive new homes.
The price range of the homes on parade is quite broad, from $156,700-$2.4 million, and range in type from single family homes to condos.
Raleigh Named a Top 10 Place to Live in 2011
This year’s “Top 10 Places to Live for 2011″ list from RelocateAmerica has been released, and Raleigh is nestled prominently at position #4, just behind Austin, Texas; Grand Rapids, Michigan; and Boulder, Colorado. The list examines a variety of factors pertaining to an area to determine what city in the United States is the best to live in. Such areas as real estate & housing, local economy, recreation, and safety.
Of course, citizen opinions were taken into account as well, as the surveyors too to the streets to ask locals what they thought and what they liked/disliked. The Raleigh movers feel that we should have easily placed at #1! But we aren’t complaining, because not only are we in the Top 10, we are also in the Top 5! And that’s certainly something to be proud of.
If you are contemplating a relocation to Raleigh, be sure to check out RelocateAmerica’s reasoning for why were a great place to live, and don’t forget to contact All My Sons of Raleigh for the best moving rates and specials.

Raleigh Hosts “Plug-In 2011″
Everywhere in the world, people are becoming more and more concerned about green living, eco-friendliness, and clean energy. This week, those global concerns are coming home to us here in Raleigh. This week’s “Plug-In 2011″ is a clean-energy technology summit that is bringing clean energy experts and aficionados to Raleigh.
The Raleigh movers already know, and we’re sure you do too, that North Carolina is very supportive of clean energy. In fact, clean energy companies get tax credit incentives here in North Carolina. The upside for the rest of the nation is that these North Carolina companies now have the ability to expand into other markets across the country, subsequently creating jobs for more Americans.
The Plug-In event is closed to the public, however, there will be a viewing this evening from 5pm-10pm of the latest electric cars. Also included in tonight’s events is a screening of the film “Revenge of the Electric Car,” included in the $10 admission.

A Promise From Your Trusty Raleigh Movers
Everybody has to make a living some how. Some choose to get a job, and some choose to build a business from the ground up. Starting up a business is far from elementary. Some small business owners never get a firm grasp of it, which can cause a lot of problems not only for the people who work for and run the business, but also for the unfortunate souls who entrust their needs to the incapable hands of an unstable company. Many businesses blindly grasp at straws in desperate attempts to get their company off the ground, often bating customers with free stuff or “exclusive” offers, and sadly some consumers are naive and end up on a hook getting reeled in by such hyped up promotional offers. Don’t get me wrong, I love free stuff, but a company that markets itself relying heavily on such offers to drum up business should raise an imaginary red flag in the heads of any smart consumers in the market for the line of serviced they provide.
Your dependable Raleigh movers here are far from a struggling business. For decades we have been moving families, businesses, couples, individuals; anybody who needs relocation services in Raleigh know that they are in capable hands which is why we make customers for life! You may be tempted to move with a lesser known Raleigh mover as it is common for pricing structures to be seemingly cheaper than what true professionals charge; and an offer for free moving boxes or ten or twenty percent discounts when you mention a particular radio commercial or magazine ad may strengthen the temptation. However; all you are likely to experience when you take promotional bate like this is ten to twenty percent less of an horrific experience than the rest of the customers whose lives the irresponsible company has either damaged or ruined! Don’t get hooked by a struggling company’s blind-leading-the-blind business ventures! Moving is not an easy job, it requires a lot more than some newborn businesses can handle; you need reputable moving professionals if you are hiring-out for your relocation needs, bottom line! Passionate about our legacy and perpetual dominance of the moving industry, it is a promise from your Raleigh family movers to give you grade-A VIP service with a smile, and also to more than meet your moving needs because we want your business for life. No matter whom you are, regardless of where you heard of our moving company; your move is covered! Make sense?
